Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation International Sinological Center at Charles University cordially invites you to meet the contemporary Taiwanese writers

Shieh Zi-fan 謝子凡 and Hsieh Kai-te 謝凱特 

The authors’ reading and discussion will take place at Kampus Hybernská (building A, room A3), on Monday, May 27, at 4 – 6 pm. The meeting with the authors and their Czech translators will be moderated by Olga Lomová.

Post-doctoral researcher

Kateřina Gajdošová PhD., project title: Self and Agency from the Perspective of Early Chinese Texts (2023-2025) In her post-doctoral project, she proposes an alternative ontological framework for interpretation of early Chinese (excavated) texts. Drawing from the continental philosophy of process, she seeks to reformulate the categories of agent and action, to focus on the "locus of power" and "precursors of action", and to present the act of establishing a shared world as a value-laden endeavour.
