Tammy Lai-Ming Ho is a Hong Kong-born poet and an Honorary Researcher at the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library, University of Toronto.
Profile: Tammy Lai-Ming Ho is a Hong Kong-born poet, editor, literary scholar, and translator. She serves as the editor-in-chief of Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Hong Kong’s first online English-language literary publication, founded in 2007, and is a founding co-editor of the academic journal Hong Kong Studies. She also sits on the editorial boards of The Shanghai Literary Review and Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine. Formerly a tenured Associate Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University, Dr. Ho has published several poetry and story collections, including Hula Hooping (2015), Too Too Too Too, (2018), Her Name Upon the Strand (2018), An Extraterrestrial in Hong Kong (2018), and If I Do Not Reply (2024). Her debut, Hula Hooping, received the Young Artist Award in Literary Arts from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. She is also the author of Neo-Victorian Cannibalism (2019), a scholarly monograph on literary adaptation. Dr. Ho is a Junior Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities, a Fall 2023 resident at the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa, and an invited fellow at the Käte Hamburger Research Centre for Cultural Practices of Reparation (2024). She actively contributes to Hong Kong’s literary and cultural discourse. She is an Honorary Researcher at the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library at the University of Toronto. She currently lives in Europe.
