Prague Summer School of Chinese Poetry „Wang Wei across Time and Space“

Venue: Faculty of Arts, Prague, Czech Republic

Scholars from Europe and Taiwan will offer new perspectives on Wang Wei through lectures, readings and interpretations of poems from various perspectives.

Post-doctoral researcher

Kateřina Gajdošová PhD., project title: Self and Agency from the Perspective of Early Chinese Texts (2023-2025) In her post-doctoral project, she proposes an alternative ontological framework for interpretation of early Chinese (excavated) texts. Drawing from the continental philosophy of process, she seeks to reformulate the categories of agent and action, to focus on the "locus of power" and "precursors of action", and to present the act of establishing a shared world as a value-laden endeavour.
