On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the CCK-ISC, we organize the international conference “Taiwan Cinema and Cultural Dynamics”. The conference will be held at Charles University, Karolinum, Ceasar Hall, Ovocný trh 3, Prague 1, on 2 – 3 May 2017. Conference is open to general public without registration. Post-doctoral researcher

Kateřina Gajdošová PhD., project title: Self and Agency from the Perspective of Early Chinese Texts (2023-2025) In her post-doctoral project, she proposes an alternative ontological framework for interpretation of early Chinese (excavated) texts. Drawing from the continental philosophy of process, she seeks to reformulate the categories of agent and action, to focus on the "locus of power" and "precursors of action", and to present the act of establishing a shared world as a value-laden endeavour.
